Foot pegs on a vstrom will rub!

Best night ever. I managed to scrape my foot peg on the way to my trail run tonight on my vstrom 1k. It is not the first time a peg has touched down on A bike, but it is the first time for that bike. The v-strom 1000 has really turned out to be a better bike than I even dreamed it would be. It is the best all around motorcycle that I have ever ridden and I think that all of the research and planning really payed out in full for that motorcycle. I would highly recommend a v-strom to anyone looking at a bike!

HOAME meeting 3-14-12

Last nights Heart of America Motorcycle Enthusiast meeting was a nice meeting. A speaker, the editor and writer, for Motorcycle Classics magazine came and did a Q & A on his magazine and some general related topics. I also had the pleasure of meeting some people I had only conversed with online. It is always nice to make new riding buddies! I look forward to getting out and exploring with some new folks yet again!
In short, the meeting was a great way to spend a weekday evening despite the prevalence of older members. It is a pleasure to hear the old men reminisce about old bikes and times. It gives me something to aspire to. I want to be an old biker not a fast one :)
