Counting Crows Concert

It was a wonderful night with the Counting Crows. I was very surprised at how friendly all the band members were. I really expected them to be more distant. My wife and I got to listen to their whole sound check and the see the band actually practice some of their songs and work out kinks here and there. It was a great experience.
Our seats later on though were directly in front of two very drunk and very stoned brothers who were absolutely obnoxious. We broached the subject in a variety of ways but it kept getting worse. Finally, rather than have an altercation two drunk idiots, we decided to just relocate. Starlight was more than accommodating! They gave us much better seats and totally understood! It made our night even better. From then on we had a perfect night! It was a great experience!

Counting Crows Meet and Greet!!!

So, last night while I was changing the oil on my Ford Ranger I get a phone call from Starlight Theater. Come to find out, we have to be all the way on the East side of Kansas City by 3:30 for the meet and greet tonight with the Counting Crows. It will be fun but I wish that I didn't have to burn vacation to go to it. Jessie went through the house last night trying to find something good to get autographed. Not certain what she decided on in the end, no matter what I think it will be a night to remember!

Busy Week!

It is going to be a very busy week. I have two vehicles to get ready for the road trip this weekend. The DRZ 400 and the Ford Ranger. Not to mention that I still have to get everything else packed and ready to go as well. Then tomorrow night I have a concert to attend with my lovely wife. We are going to see the Counting Crows and participate in a meet and greet as well! We are both excited. Hopefully I can get the vehicle work done tonight so that they are completely ready to go! Two oil changes, some spark plugs, air filters, the works, as far as preventative maintenance goes. Not sure the truck needs it but better safe than sorry. It would really screw up fishing to break down somewhere between here and Minnesota. I don't want to wonder if preventative maintenance could have prevented problems I encounter in the future.
